Position: Government Affairs Associate

Overview

Support BPI’s government affairs work by helping expand our relationships with congressional staffers and policymakers. This role will work closely with our Director of Government Affairs to advance a bipartisan advocacy strategy, manage day-to-day outreach on the Hill, plan events, and help administer BPI’s Congressional Fellowship Program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Director of Government Affairs in executing BPI’s advocacy strategy.
  • Track, analyze, and summarize legislative and regulatory developments affecting Bitcoin.
  • Draft briefing materials, policy memos, and follow-up notes for Hill meetings.

  • Plan and represent BPI in meetings, briefings, and events on Capitol Hill.
  • Support strategic partnership development across relevant offices and organizations.
  • Coordinate with the Communications, Research, and Events teams to ensure alignment across BPI initiatives.

  • Experience engaging with both Democratic and Republican offices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and program-management skills.
  • Passion for Bitcoin and enthusiasm for advancing BPI’s mission.
  • Based in Washington, DC or willing to relocate.

What We’re Really Looking For

This role is for someone who loves engaging with people, who likes to hustle, and who deeply believes in Bitcoin’s role in strengthening freedom and democracy.

Do you enjoy walking the halls of Congress, connecting with staffers, and helping them understand why Bitcoin matters? Can you bring enthusiasm to every conversation, while also handling the details and follow-through that make an advocacy program successful? Do you believe in meeting people where they are, even if they don’t share your perspective yet, and finding common ground?
