Apply to work with us in Washington, D.C.
For the last four years, we’ve been producing research and educating lawmakers about Bitcoin’s regulation and value to society.
BPI aims to be the most respected and most enduring research organization working to shape national policy in a way that protects individual rights in the digital age, reinforces liberal democracy, and maximizes the societal benefits of Bitcoin and other disruptive digital technologies.
To do this, we educate policymakers and the public on Bitcoin and disruptive digital technologies, providing non-partisan, research-based insights to inform sound policy in the United States. Our work is informed by our core values: Intellectual Honesty, Professional Integrity, Non-Partisanship, and a Commitment to Liberalism.
If you’re passionate about Bitcoin research and advocacy, consider applying for one of the positions listed below.
Support BPI’s government affairs work by helping expand our relationships with congressional staffers and policymakers. This role will work closely with our Director of Government Affairs to advance a bipartisan advocacy strategy, manage day-to-day outreach on the Hill, plan events, and help administer BPI’s Congressional Fellowship Program.
This role is for someone who loves engaging with people, who likes to hustle, and who deeply believes in Bitcoin’s role in strengthening freedom and democracy.
Do you enjoy walking the halls of Congress, connecting with staffers, and helping them understand why Bitcoin matters? Can you bring enthusiasm to every conversation, while also handling the details and follow-through that make an advocacy program successful? Do you believe in meeting people where they are, even if they don’t share your perspective yet, and finding common ground?
If you think of yourself as someone who’s personable, organized, and excited to build bridges in Washington — and if you care deeply about Bitcoin’s future — then this role might be for you.
Location: Washington, DC.
All roles will be based out of BPI’s new office headquarters in PubKey DC, located in Penn Quarter. In-person presence is required.
Benefits:
BPI is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a diverse and inclusive team. We encourage applications from candidates of all backgrounds who are passionate about our mission.

We are looking for a utility player to support BPI across a wide range of projects. From internal operations to public events, research support to government affairs, this role is designed for a team-first person who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and is eager to contribute wherever needed.
This role is perfect for someone who wants to work in Bitcoin but is unsure how to break into the industry. We need someone who’s ready to jump in wherever they’re needed.
One day you might be helping organize a Hill briefing, the next day taking notes in a leadership meeting, and the next helping set up a project dashboard or drafting a quick memo. You don’t need to be an expert in everything, but you do need to be comfortable learning quickly and doing what it takes to get things done.
If you’re a person who thrives on variety and takes pride in supporting a team, then this role might be for you.
